Dr. Olamide Oladeji
Artificial intelligence and robotics expert applying intelligent systems to critical global challenges — PhD in Applied AI from Stanford University (Knight-Hennessy Scholar) and dual master’s degrees from MIT.
Dr. Olamide Oladeji is a distinguished artificial intelligence and robotics expert specializing in applying intelligent systems to critical global challenges. He holds a PhD in Applied AI from Stanford University, completed as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, where his research focused on advanced information extraction — across computer vision and natural language processing — from alternative data sources to inform computational decision-making under uncertainty. He also holds dual master’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (AI), with work in geospatial analytics, and in Technology Policy — all built on an undergraduate foundation in Electrical Engineering specializing in computational modeling and robotics. This trajectory across AI/machine learning, autonomous and embedded systems, and policy gives him an unusual end-to-end command of how intelligent systems get built, deployed, and governed in the real world.
For over a decade, Dr. Oladeji has been at the forefront of computational modeling and AI research, developing algorithms that push the boundaries of information extraction from imagery, video, and text. His work has resulted in multiple publications, several peer-reviewed in top-tier venues, including multiple first-author AI publications at venues such as the IEEE and the AAAI conference and symposia — among the leading venues for AI research. His research and broader body of work have since been commercialized through several venture-backed companies.
As a leading technology innovator and serial entrepreneur, Dr. Oladeji has founded and led AI and technology ventures whose models and algorithms have informed decision-making for over 200,000 businesses across 40+ countries, including leading global institutions and governments in more than 20 countries. His ventures have earned recognition from organizations including Forbes, Stanford, MIT, and TIME. Today he leads an award-winning AI company that applies frontier research and development to mission-critical decision workflows for enterprises, building intelligent systems that operate reliably in high-stakes commercial environments.
Dr. Oladeji’s technical work spans natural language processing, computer vision, geospatial AI, control and autonomous systems, and machine learning for decision-making under uncertainty. His projects range from AI-powered software that has helped governments and major global infrastructure and financial institutions undertake large-scale planning and analysis, to AI models for risk assessment and resource allocation under uncertainty.
His contributions to AI for social good have earned numerous accolades. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the social impact category and received the MIT Clean Energy Prize for energy delivery. He also served on the highly selective expert committee convened by the Nigerian government to draft the country’s National Artificial Intelligence Policy. Beyond his own work, Dr. Oladeji serves as an advisor to multiple leading companies and is an active mentor to students and early-stage founders, both through structured programs and informally. He has been invited to speak and guest lecture at leading universities including UC Berkeley, MIT, and Stanford. He continues to push the boundaries of AI and robotics applications across finance, infrastructure, environment, and socio-economic development, collaborating with leading organizations, researchers, and policymakers worldwide.
