We are seeking an exceptional Senior Robotics Software Engineer to build the software foundation powering the next generation of autonomous robots.
The Role
As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of the software architecture that enables our robots to perceive, navigate, communicate, and execute complex autonomous missions.
You will work closely with robotics, AI, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to develop scalable, production-ready software for field deployment.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of robotics software using ROS2
- Design scalable software architecture for autonomous robotic systems
- Develop localization, mapping, navigation, mission planning, and behavior management systems
- Integrate LiDAR, RGB cameras, thermal cameras, radar, GPS, IMUs, and environmental sensors
- Develop communication between robots, edge AI devices, and cloud infrastructure
- Build simulation environments using Gazebo, Isaac Sim, and Digital Twin technologies
- Optimize software for reliability, scalability, and real-time performance
- Lead software integration, testing, and field validation
- Mentor robotics software engineers and establish engineering best practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout product development
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field (required)
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience developing autonomous robotic systems after completion of the PhD
- Expert knowledge of ROS2
- Expert-level C++ and Python programming skills
- Extensive experience developing autonomous robotic systems
- Strong understanding of distributed robotic systems and middleware
- Experience with Linux-based robotics development
- Experience integrating robotic sensors and embedded computing platforms
- Strong software architecture, debugging, and systems engineering skills

- Experience leading robotics software teams
- Startup or advanced R&D experience
